Netflix or Cable?

Ever since Netflix was introduced, the demand for cable TV has been plummeting. If Netflix were to be a TV network, then it would be the 15th most-watched network next to Fox, NCBC and CNN.

According to Richard Greenfield, an analysts for the investment research site BTIG, “Netflix had more hours of viewing in October than FX, HGTV and History and had more than twice the viewer hours of CNN, Discovery, MSNBC and BET.”

Despite of the popularity Netflix is receiving, it still has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Netflix is an online application that provides its subscribers with access to thousands of TV shows and movies. It’s convenient because computers, iPads, smartphones and even Xboxs are able to gain access to Netflix. However, Netflix’s movie database does not satisfy a few of its users as they complain that the database isn't updated frequently enough. Although the app doesn’t have a set maintenance schedule, many users have mentioned it goes down for maintenance at different hours almost every day.

Cable on the other hand, is a rather traditional approach to television. It is able to offer it’s viewers with HD and live updates on what’s happening in the world. Unlike internet based video streaming apps, cable won’t be cut out during a storm.

Personally, I tend to use Cable TV more because I like to watch the newest documentaries or shows whenever they are broadcasted whereas on Netflix i would have to wait for it to be streamed and uploaded. If I ever want to watch a movie, I would either search for it online or borrow it from a friend. I feel as if it’s unnecessary to spend a couple of dollars each month to subscribe for a movie app when I can get the same service for a lesser price.

Exclusive: Leonardo DiCaprio talks about Dating and Acting In His Interview with Movie Hangouts

The Titanic and Inception star, Leondardo DiCaprio  sat down with us for an interview about his career and love life.

Despite of his good looks and talent, the 38-year-old has trouble settling down at times.
He puts his career first before everything, and sometimes this affects his relationships. DiCaprio told Movie Hangouts, “I always thought of myself as the underdog, because I didn't have nice enough clothes or maybe my hair didn't look good. And so you have to understand - getting your foot in the door is like winning the lottery. It's literally like winning the lottery if you get to have a career”.

DiCaprio obviously doesn’t take his job for granted as he humbly describes how serious he takes every role he plays. He has starred in a few memorable movies such as “Blood Diamond” and “The Aviator”.

The actor is having difficulty balancing his job with his personal relationships. He has confessed that it is extremely time consuming to be in a relationship whilst being active in the film industry. However, Leondardo DiCaprio has dated a few of the most stunning women in the industry including Bar Refaeli, Blake Lively and Erin Heatherton.

The actor admits that "six months of being on location or being off in Morocco or someplace like that is not the best thing for a relationship".

Regardless of all this, the actor is enjoying his current life as a professional actor and his latest movie will be making its debut at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19th.
